Welcome to Hard Luck Ink

Hello all,

My name is Christopher Cortright and I am happy to introduce myself.  I am a writer and artist who has been working on one RPG based project of another since the late 80's.

I was first introduced to the hobby by my friend Jeff with the grand old Marvel Super Heroes before delving into a nearly endless stream of new games since that time.  I fondly recall my first foray into writing a RPG of my own.

I attempted to take TSR's spy game, Top Secret/SI and turn it into a fantasy game.  After many different incarnations of it I moved on to some other project although those are lost to memory now. Over the decades I have had the pleasure of playing in a multitude of different games and reading many many more.

It's safe to say that gaming is my primary hobby.  I like to consider myself a free-form type of GM.  I like to make things up as I go along rather than stick to any sort of pre-set plan.

I know this isn't for everyone but it has worked for me for many years. I have spent the majority of my gaming career as a GM for different Fantasy games but I have run just about every type of game I can think of.  It has been a lot of fun.

I have dabbled in writing home-brew games for just about every genre type and while some have come out well others have gone down in a ball of flame.  I think that is the plight of every creative type though. I am proud to say that I am now the primary writer for the Crazy8's Second Edition game system coming soon from Composite Games.

It is rules lite and supremely flexible.  I look forward to being able to flex my writing skills with this game and with a number of upcoming releases for it.  My main hope is that some of you are able to enjoy my work and that you spread the word.

I understand that not every game is for everyone, but I think that there are games out there for everyone, regardless of their personal style.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it!

Chris
